The High Frontier's admission process is individualized and operates on
an on-going basis. Each student’s information packet is team-reviewed to
determine whether we can provide appropriate services to meet the student’s
needs. We carefully review psychosocial history, problem behaviors,
strengths, diagnoses, psychological and educational records and assessments
to determine whether we are the appropriate placement for each student. We
also encourage a tour by the family prior to placement, if possible.
The essential question we must ask and answer for admission is whether our group-oriented treatment milieu is appropriate for the student, based on the information we have available at the time of admission. To answer this question we must determine whether the student has the ability and temperament to communicate, function and change within a group-oriented environment.
